Worshipping Purpose of Buddhist Arts

 

History of Buddhism is greatly affected by Greece culture, thus the first believers (who was exposed to Greece Sculpture of gods) started to create Buddha statue to increase the religious and mysterious impact of the Buddha to people. Thus, the first image of Buddha was made with sculpture, which we can still see in any temple. This trend was also flowed in Korea when the religion was first introduced in Korea. That’s why the main medium of Buddhism ideology is the sculpture.
